Killipania Island

Nathan Benson lives in the backwater town of Lanang City in Killipania Island. He struggles finding
happiness as a young American youth in a third world country. He has no friends until another American
boy shows up — Mike Hammond. The two are polar opposites in nature but as the only American children
in the area they need each other.

The bond and conflict between the two shape much of the story. Mike is a risk taker and pulls Nathan
along with him. From adventures with the local girls to forced conscription into the NPA, a clandestine
criminal gang, the two of them travel a path together.

Their conflict explodes when the two arrive at Spirit Academy, a private high school in Mandula, the capital
of Killipania. Nathan expects dorm life to be tedious but as an NPA recruit, a normal life as a student
proves impossible.
