Lessons and Landscapes, A Memoir is a series of life experiences of a female geoscientist from her youthful days to her new retired status primarily in the field of hydrogeology which is the study of subsurface water. She would encounter great male role models in academia and the workplace along with the unscrupulous who would derail her career as a scientist for speaking up about sexual harassment in the workplace. Mental illness would surface as the result of experiencing extreme long-term stress. Perseverance would result in having a successful career in the environmental protection of aquifers via state regulation and finding happiness in life.
